Once you are in Cubase go to the "Studio" tab on the top left of your screen and then click "Studio Setup." which should be the lowest choice that pops up ( see pictures).

Now that your X-Touch or other device is in Mackie Mode, open Cubase.

This button saves your config and once you click it the LEDs should read nothing and the sliders should reset to their lowest position. That button should normally be illuminated green.

Once your LEDs read "Mode" "MC" and "IFC" "USB", click the "Select" button of channel 1 just above the slider.

This shows you how your X-Touch is currently communicating with your DAW. the LED of channel 2 should read "Ifc" and under that "USB" "Midi" or something else. You can select between different modes by turning the nob just above the LED. The LED should read "Mode" and under that either MC or HUI.

Once you are in select mode, you can see in the LED of Channel 1, which mode you are currently in.

This starts the Config mod, where you can select which mode you want the X-Touch to use.

For X-Touch, hold the "Select" button just above the Slider of Channel 1 (The first slider on the left of the X-Touch), then power the X-Touch on.

Normally there should be one by the manufacturer.
